A Day of Cricket!

If you know Luke, you would know that he has a love of sports...any sport! He loves watching (and playing!) League, Tennis, Soccer - you name it! I even found him watching darts the other morning on Fox Sports. But at the moment his biggest love is cricket. He has been involved in Milo Cricket over summer and continuously walks around the house doing bowling actions!

So today we thought we'd take a drive down to Bowral where the Sir Donald Bradman Museum and Cricket Hall of Fame is situated. It is a very interesting and special place for cricket lovers, so Brett and Luke were in heaven. They have lots of interactive things for the kids to do and even had a section where the kids could dress up in pads, helmet etc.

Next door is the Bradman Oval which is so beautiful and green, and we were lucky enough that there was a game on for Luke and Sarah to watch. Unfortunately though they were not very talented - I think I could have even scored a few runs for them!

After watching the game for some time, we decided to take up an offer of a horse and cart ride by a couple of locals - and it was great! It went for about 15 minutes and we travelled past some of the beautiful, amazing old homes in Bowral. Shame we couldn't have afforded the $2 million they were asking for some of the homes, because I think we both fell in love with the area!

First day of school!

Luke and Sarah had a great first day back at school! Luke's school are still finalising classes, so it may be a week until he knows who his new teacher and classmates will be. In the meantime, his Kindy class from last year are in a year six classroom, giving Luke the giggles to think he has skipped from Kindergarten straight to year six!

Sarah enjoyed her first day back at preschool yesterday and was happy to be going back today for a second day in a row. She was a little disappointed to learn that a few of her favourite friends (boyfriend Braith included) were going on a Thursday/Friday instead of the same days as her, but she will have no trouble making new little friends as well as the others she does know.

It is nice to be back in routine and hopefully I can stay organised! So much for my first two child-free days - I have worked non stop with client work!

What a hot week to be starting back at school - we are all looking forward to some cooler weather when it eventually comes.
